KTM had silently unveiled the 250 Adventure for the Indonesian market last November and now the 250 Adventure has been spied testing in India. It can be seen in the pictures that the 250 Adventure will use a TFT instrument cluster.
The KTM 250 Adventure looks identical to the 390 Adventure and it shares the same chassis and body panels as the bigger 390. However, instead of the LED headlamp, the 250 Adventure gets a halogen unit just like on the 250 Duke. The fuel tank, the extensions, the radiator shroud, the belly pan, and the tail section are also exactly the same. In terms of electronics, the 250 Adventure only gets off-road ABS.
Powering the KTM 250 Adventure is a BS6 248.8cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that also powers the 250 Duke. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this engine is capable of producing 30 bhp of power and 24 Nm of torque.[gallery size="full" ids="19736,19735,19729,19727,19728"]While the 390 Adventure gets adjustable WP USD forks, the 250 Adventure gets non-adjustable WP units offering 170mm travel at the front and 177mm travel at the rear, same as the 390 Adventure.[gallery size="full" ids="19732,19731"]Braking duties are handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. However, the 250 runs on MRF Mogrip Meteor FM2 tubeless tires instead of the 390’s Continental tires. The bike also misses out on features like petal discs, traction control, and adjustable suspension, which are available in the bigger sibling. The 250 Adventure will be launching in India soon.
